In May, I attended a breakfast event in which Lloyd Clarke took to the stage and asked us to challenge controlling behaviour when we see it.

June 1st is a special day here at Free To Shine as it marks both our birthday and International Children’s Day. Our birthday event, "Ride With Free To Shine", co-hosted with Grasshopper Adventures and Baby Elephant Boutique Hotel, brought together local community members with two of our brilliant University students and the Free To Shine team.

On February 17th, Free To Shine co-hosted our annual Vegan and Vegetarian Food Festival with Baby Elephant Boutique Hotel at their gorgeous green paradise. This year, we wanted to highlight the heart and the people behind three of the amazing vendors that made the event possible, Haven, Chamkar House, and Footprint Cafés. Ethical business partnerships provide an essential piece of the web of support Free To Shine creates for girls and families enrolled on our program. We are extremely lucky that the Siem Reap community has so many ethical and impactful businesses who continue to support us in our vision of educated girls, free from sex trafficking, shaping and leading their communities and country.
