Cambodia's first art therapy conference took place January 16th-18th in Phnom Penh, Cambodia's capital city.Free To Shine's three social workers: San, Kongkea and Vichheka all received significant scholarships and were able to attend the entire conference! Our program coordinator, Lizzi also attended the second half of the conference.The conference took place at The Himawari Hotel which is one of the nicest hotels in Phnom Penh. The conference was attended by arts therapists, social workers, educators, and caring professionals from Cambodia, Thailand, USA, UK, Australia and many other countries!

The conference included many key note presentations and panel discussions that explored the 'latest research and developments in the fields of staff care, well-being, clinical supervision and creative arts therapy in application with those who have experienced trauma or crisis.'
